Ed’s Deli is a good place to take friends from out of town or grab a quick work lunch. I’ve gotten Ed’s pasta and sauce from their cold case for my family dinners and even my pickiest eaters were impressed. The sandwiches are good. The chocolate chip cookies are worth going in for alone.

The prices scared me at first. But worth every penny! The brussel sprout salad is my current favorite salad - feels new and fresh in terms of flavor profile. Hard to do for a salad! Bread is housemade and incredible. Desserts are all excellent. Atmosphere is clean and mod, not stuffy or overly hip. It’s clear there’s love and pride in every element here. Our new favorite in Edwardsville.

I don’t live here, just traveling. I stopped here because the last and first time I was in Edwardsville, there was a delicious bakery in this location. I decided to try Ed’s anyway. What a great decision. I came here to say the pickle spear that just comes with the sandwich was ASTONISHING. Clearly homemade, beautifully pickled with such refreshing but warm spices. I love pickles, but can be particular about them. Just wow. This pickle was review worthy. I’ll be going back for another. The sandwich was great. I had the tuna. Didn’t reinvent the wheel, but the bread was notably great sandwich bread and there were subtle peppers in the sandwich that made it special.
….Then there’s the carrot cake. It caught my eye in the glass case, because upon first and second glance I wasn’t sure what it was. I then read the sign and the very helpful and kind lady further explained it was deconstructed. I’m a sucker… and got it, but left it in the fridge and came back to it later this evening. Holy cow. This is OUTSTANDING and solidified my need to give Ed’s a review. Wonderful staff and wonderfully fresh and delicious food!

PB&J canolli. Amazing beef and potato soup. Sandwich on homemade bread that was perfectly toasted; so dope. Top shelf beers and booze. Wow! Eat here. Oh, the coffe!!! I digress ... do not miss his absolute treasure. Sincerely, wow.
